Black River Harbor Camping

I was able to get out of work a couple hour early and we had a free weekend, so we decided to take our new camper for another trip. We went to a new destination for us. We went to Black River Harbor, which is on lake Superior, but east in to the upper peninsula of Michigan. It is about 90 minutes from our house. We were a little nervous because the campground is first come first serve with no reservations, but when we got there, there were quite a few open spots. We had a really nice weekend. There are 5 waterfalls at different levels working their way down to lake superior. There was also a suspension bridge across the black river to a lake superior beach. Friday was calm, Lake Superior was glass, sunny weather and we went swimming. Saturday we went back and Flint was a bit disgruntled at the waves, say he wanted to go swimming where there wasn't any waves. We had so much fun climbing on rocks and climbing down to the river and throwing rocks in the river and falls.
