We went to Pattison State Park, just south of Superior, WI to meet up with some friends from Todd's engineering days at the City of Ashland. It was a chilly weekend, but great to get together and see old friends. Our family and Alyssa came from Ashland, Aaron came from MSP area (Tim and Leah were going to come but couldn't make it. :( Kerstin came all the way from Colorado, Darienne and Tim and their kiddos came out for the day as well as Mary and Julia and Brendon and Angela. So, it was a great gathering, but my pictures don't have any people in them. We camped for two cold nights, but we had nice fires and our pop-up. Aaron brought his electric blanket. We borrowed Kerstin our tent and sleeping bags, plus she got to keep warm with Sophie and Polar :).
We had a nice hike Saturday by the big manitou falls, the tallest falls in Wisconsin. Then hung around the fire and talked and caught up. The boys had fun throwing rocks in the river with Brendon and chasing Kerstin up and down and around Aaron's pick-up.
It was a great weekend, just beware of those flaming turkeys kids.
