Todd and his brothers have taken quite a few trips to see the Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, but the boys and I have never been. We have had some friends who have gone to the family night and so we decided to go this year. Toward the end of training camp the Packers host a family night, which is a practice that 66,000+ people attend. It is a neat experience and kind of a game like atmosphere for families, and the tickets only cost $10/person rather than $100+.
We tailgated before the practice along with thousands of others. We got to park in a nice grass field and hung with our friends the Sperduto family. We ate brats, hot dogs and hamburgers and played catch. It was a gorgeous sunny day.
We got in to the field and hung out. Flint and I waited in line for 30 minutes plus because he wanted popcorn, but by the time we got up there they were out of popcorn, he was sad for a bit, but then his dad cheered him up. Xander liked the scrimmage and we even got to see Aaron Rodgers throw a touch down right in front of us for the two minute drill.
The evening ended with a really good firework display that was Flint's favorite part. Flint also liked when nearly everyone was gone and he was kicking all the garbage around the stadium.
