We had a great weekend this Memorial Day weekend. Todd's brother Luke and his wife, Justine, came up with their puppy Apollo to go camping with us. We went just in to the upper peninsula of Michigan (about 45 min. away) to Little Girl's point campground. The weather was good for us, decently warm during the day, but cold at night (high 30's and low 40's.) But we stayed warm with our sleeping bags and puppies :)
We had a very nice time relaxing, walking on the beach and eating a lot of good food. The only downfall was massive amounts of heartburn for me (must have been the fattier food, along with the baby getting bigger :)
On Sunday on our way back to Ashland we went to Potato River Falls. This was pretty impressive. We somehow got seperated (the boys ran off) and so Jill and Justine and Polar visited the lower falls and the boys and Sohpie and Apollo visited the upper falls. There were quite a few stairs to climb, but we went slow and it went fine.
One last video to leave you with, Luke and Justine's puppy Apollo has quite a bit of energy and so they exercise him on the treadmill at home. We had to see this, so we set him up on ours (which just happens to go faster than theirs...)

  1. WOW, I can't believe Apollo could run at 12!! That is impressive. I'll never forget when Greg made me run an 8 on the treadmill at CSC. I thought I was going to die.

Now, I'd be lucky to run a 5. ha!

Looks and sounds like you had a great trip. What a wonderful way to spend the weekend.
