For the last week in July and the first two weeks in August we do not have daycare. So we have had the grandparents take turns and also had some girls do some babysitting. This year only Oma and Opa Ament were able to come up, but since Oma and Opa were coming, my Aunt Vollie, who lives in Arizona, decided to come up to visit for the week as well. Then Emily had an unexpected four days off, so she came up on Thursday to spend the extended weekend with us.
It was great having the family up. and it was nice for the boys to be able to spend some time with my family. We got out for a quick Friday evening ski on the bay, Auntie Em and Xander spotted for us. Then we took the whole family out on Saturday morning. It was a gorgeous sunny day. We started out on Long Island and dropped the kiddos and grandparents off and took Em as our spotter and photographer and got some good skiing in. At one point a float plane flew right over me when I was skiing.
After skiing we had a picinc, got back on the boat, went to Raspberry Island to look at the lighthouse, went for a hike and hung out at the beach on Raspberry and then headed back to Madeline Island to have supper at the Beach Club. It was a good day, but with all the sun we were happy to get home.

It's great that your family was able to get together. I love the photo of you and Em!
