Thanksgiving

We went back to ND for Thanksgiving this year and stayed at Oma and Opa's house. We got in early Thursday morning, slept a bit and then went over to Grandma Verla and Grandpa Berge's farm. We got to see all of Grandma Verla's sisters and had a nice visit that included a bonfire and a hay ride behind the 4-wheeler.
Then we went back to Oma & Opa's for a late afternoon dinner, then hung out. Oma and I went out to the Mall thanksgiving evening, but instead of waiting in line for shopping we decided to go to the movie, so we saw Breaking Dawn, then we went over to wal-mart for a few deals.
Friday morning Oma had to work, but Opa and our family went up to the hockey rink to do a bit of ice skating. Xander wasn't too big of a fan, he said the skates hurt his feet. His favorite part was getting to watch the Zamboni.
On Friday evening Grandma & Grandpa Berge came to Jamestown for supper at Oma & Opa's and then we all went  downtown and watched the Holidazzle Parade. It was a good time and both boys enjoyed the fire trucks, floats and X enjoyed the candy :) Xander hammed it up pretty well wishing all of the people passing out candy "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Thanksgiving"
Todd did admit that his primary motive for returning to ND was pheasant hunting and he did get a few hunts in with the puppies and Opa and even ended up getting a bird on Saturday.
Saturday we got to hang out with Oma's sisters and their families, but unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of that get together.
On the way home we stopped at Great Grandpa Leo's house and got to see him as well as great aunt Vicki & uncle Al.
It was great to see everyone and we had very nice visits.

  4. What a fun holiday for all of you. Verla's sisters are so much fun to be with. I love the hayride pics. A straw fight looks more like Verla dumping straw on her grandson's head!! Thanks for sharing, I love you all-Carolyn
