Xander has started his independent streak. After we got back from our Christmas trip he refused to sit in his high chair at supper time, now he has a booster for a big chair. He prefers to sleep in the bed in his room rather than the crib (mom and dad make him sleep in the crib yet mostly because otherwise he likes to leave his room before he falls asleep.) Speaking of leaving his room, Xander has mastered door knobs, this includes door knobs with toddler protection on them, so now mom and dad have to be very careful about keeping a better eye on Xander otherwise he likes to try to get outside.
Out biggest independent news for the week is that Xander went pee on his potty for the first time last night. We have been sitting on the potty for a few weeks now, but last night was our first success. We are hoping that this is not just a fluke and that we are on the early track for potty training...keep your fingers crossed for us :).
