We made it home this afternoon, feels good to be home. Mom and Xander are pretty tired yet, Xander is sleeping quite a bit, but mom hasn't quite gotten around to it, just a quick nap. We made it home without too much trouble. Grandma Betty was there to help out.
We got Xander in his going home outfit (thanks to great aunt Vollie and the shoes from autie Em) and took some pictures and got out to the car, ready to put the carseat in the car and he spit up all over his shirt and the carseat straps. Then we got home, changed him and fed him and burped him and laid down for a nap and he spit up all over the crib sheet and his blanket and onsie. So we changed him again cuddled him a little bit and brought him downstairs and put him in his bassinet while we made a salad for supper. He woke about 20 minutes later screaming because he had a wet diaper which had soaked through to the blanket and bassinet sheet. So we have a load of laundry going right now and mom is more than ready for bed.
The puppies are doing well so far, Polar is pretty excited and Sophie is a bit indifferent, kind of like we thought they would be.

He is so adorable. What a beautiful little baby. :) I hope X is letting you get some sleep.
ReplyDeletebtw, I still wear my CSC track t-shirt all the time too. It's so darn comfortable.
It is so exciting to remember how it felt to be in your shoes. Everything sounds just right (cute new outfit, followed by spit up). Joe used to tell people Joseph could smell the clean. Elisha warned me with boys that I'd go through 3-4 outfits a day at first. I did a load of laundry everyday for all of maternity leave because boys don't just get the outfit, they get mom's shirt, their blanket, sheets, you name it. Again, it's exciting to hear about you going through it because although maybe a little shocking and a lot of work, it is still pretty fun. I can't wait to talk to you. Are you free for calls or staying pretty busy yet?
